Meet Trusty…
By Commercial Trust Company
Did you know that Commercial Trust Company has a mascot? Let me tell you about “Trusty!”
In the 1980’s CTC made history by being the first bank in Howard County to install an ATM machine. Dog lover and CTC VP Lew Wallace Jacobs, III, better known as “Three,” wanted to create a mascot to be the face of the exciting new technology. He could think of no more loyal, dependable, and “trustworthy” animal than a St. Bernard dog, and so, “Trusty” was born. You could find his face on the ATM machine, on “Trust” ATM cards, and more. It’s been a while since we’ve seen “Trusty” around CTC, so to celebrate CTC’s 120th year, we are bringing back the reimagined “Trusty!”
Bring your family and friends down to the Commercial Trust Street Fair on Friday, June 30th from 2pm - 6pm, in front of the bank along Main Street. We will be giving away CTC apparel and there will be something fun for all ages. Activities include: Kettle Corn, Lemonade, Kona Ice, Inflattable Slide, Bounce House, Cash Cube, Face Painting, Giant Jenga, Cornhole, Giant Connect 4, Fayette Fire Truck Exploration, and a Giant St. Bernard Stuffed Animal Raffle. See you there!
