Downtown Fayette Recipient of MoDOT TAP Grant

Fayette Main Street, Inc. is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a MoDOT TAP Grant totaling $156,000. This significant grant will fund the construction of sidewalks along North Main Street, spanning from Elm Street to East Davis. The project aims to enhance sidewalk transportation, ensuring safer and more accessible pathways for visitors exploring Downtown Fayette. This initiative reinforces the community's commitment to creating a welcoming and pedestrian-friendly environment, further enriching the downtown experience for residents and visitors alike.

The City of Fayette will facilitate the grant. This significant development marks the beginning of a transformative project that aims to create a welcoming gateway between downtown Fayette and Central Methodist University. Construction is scheduled to commence in 2025, signaling a pivotal moment for the revitalization of our community.
